Reformulated for decreased spillover – The new BD Horizon Brilliant™ Ultraviolet dyes.

BD Horizon Brilliant™ Ultraviolet dyes are being reformulated with improved chemistry to allow you to better optimise your flow cytometry experiments. The new formulations have similar emission and excitation properties as before but have the additional advantage of reduced spillover into the BUV395 detector. BUV563, BUV737 and BUV805 have already been reformulated, and BUV496 and BUV661 will follow soon. And of course, the new dyes are also available in the BD OptiBuild™ portfolio, opening up numerous interesting combinations.

The newly formulated BUV reagents will be packaged in a black vial to distinguish them from the amber vials currently supplied. The catalogue numbers for the off-shelf reagents will start with 612XXX, and the old references will be discontinued from July 2019.

Check out the new microsite for more information and for data on how the performance of the reformulated dyes compares with the existing ones.
